On a Leifeld/La Monda motion the Town Board tabled the approval
of the minutes for the month of May since the Town Clerk
presented the Town Board with draft copies of the minutes.
The following correspondence was read and filed:
#36-00
Marc Moran, Region 3 Director of the NYS DEC responded to the
Town Board regarding transportation of solid waste and
enforcement of movement of refuse noting they have been enforcing
the requirement to cover solid waste during transportation since
the enactment of Encon law in 1989. He stated that obviously
loose waste would always need to be covered. A sealed bag in the
back of a pickup truck that is too heavy to blow out would not
require a cover to prevent spillage.
#37-00
Mark Morano, Civil Enginer for the NYS DOT, noted that a speed
limit of 40 mph will be established on County Route 2A with
Ulster County Highways and Bridges installing the necessary
signs.
On a Chase/La Monda motion the Town Board approved payment of the
following preaudited bills: General Fund Vouchers #226-#289,
$207,675.21; Highway Vouchers #126-#147, $24,282.87; Special
Lighting Voucher #5, $39.07; and Reserve "L" Vouchers
#4-#5, $5,861.47.
On a Leifeld/La Monda motion the Town Board set a meeting for
June 12th at 7:30 pm at the Town Meeting Hall for the purpose of
discussing the proposed wireless law.
Supervisor Leifeld noted the cash received for April, 2000, as
$12,204.98 and interest received through April as $20,374.93.
On a La Monda/Burkhardt motion the Town Board empowered the
Supervisor to negotiate and enter into contract with SJM
Association of Consulting Engineers.

Buckhingham, Harold Weber, and Tom Fickus. The Town Board
