POLICE liaison Council Member Johansen stated an End of the Year Police Report would be submitted. (#1-02)
HIGHWAY COMMITTEE liaison Council Member Chase stated the Highway Department reduced the rock ledge at Brodhead Road and Route 28A to increase visibility, a guardrail was replaced on Beaverkill Road, and no snow has allowed the department to clean ditches. She stated a request has been made to have a second phone line in the Highway Department. Council Member Chase stated she enjoyed working with the Highway Committee and appreciates the friendships developed over the past eight (8) years in that capacity. She stated she appreciates Everett Cook’s service to the town and will seek a page in the Minutes saying that.
A FIRST AID report was issued by Council Member Chase. She stated she has been working with Brian Davis and John Sauer to follow up on the issue of coverage. Council Member Chase stated she is in hopes that the squad can put their ideas together and make a presentation to the Town Board. She stated that asking them to make a plan is possibly more than they are prepared to do so she is helping them out to make this presentation. She stated her feeling is that the squad will need to request a larger contract amount from the Town Board but would like for them to refigure how they want to address these issues. Council Member Chase stated she feels there will be changes requested and anticipated cost increases. She stated these two individuals have some very interesting suggestions.
Council Member Burkhardt noted the Recreation Committee did not meet in December.
