Local Flood Analysis Public Meeting July 14th

Local Flood Analysis Public Meeting July 14th

Join the Olive Flood Advisory Committee and the Town Board as we engage in Local Flood Analysis (LFA) for the hamlets of Boiceville and West Shokan.  Our second public information gathering meeting will be Tuesday, July 14th, 6:00 pm at the Town Meeting Hall in Shokan.   Public input is needed to develop feasible and community supported projects for finding solutions to flooding in these hamlets.

Woidt Engineering is working with the Olive Flood Advisory Committee to:  1) determine the causes of intensified flooding; 2) evaluate solutions, and 3) design and implement projects to alleviate flooding and reduce hazards.  Your input is valuable.  If your home or business was damaged or is threatened from a flooding hazard, please download the Olive Home & Business Flood Damage Questionnaire and bring the completed form to the July 14th meeting.  Any questions you have regarding the questionnaire will be addressed at the meeting.

In about a week you will be receiving a postcard announcing the July 14th meeting and urging your participation and input.  We thank the Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Program (ASWMP) for sponsoring the mailing.

The Town Board will convene its July meeting immediately after the 6:00 pm LFA meeting.   Thanks for attending.
