Rt. 28A Esopus Bridge Design meeting Oct. 27th

There will be an informational meeting on the proposed engineering design of the Route 28A bridge over the Esopus Creek in Boiceville held on Tuesday, October 27th, 5 pm at the Town Meeting Hall in Shokan.  Ray Girgis, NYCDEP Engineer, will be present, along with other DEP representatives, to present the proposed designs.  Mr. Girgis met on Thursday, October 15th with Olive’s Flood Advisory Committee; the Town’s engineer in Local Flood Analysis, George Fowler of Woidt Engineering; representatives from the Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery; Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Program officials; and other DEP reps to present and review the two proposed designs.  Town Engineer George Fowler will model the two proposed designs to determine the effect they might have on flood levels in Boiceville.
