Ulster County Grants Permit to Rail Bike Company

Last October Ulster County executed a five year permit with the Rail Explorers Corporation to operate a tourist rail-based bicycle (“rail bike”) excursions on the Western Segment of the Ulster & Delaware Railroad Corridor.  The property subject to this permit extends approximately 6.2 miles from Route 28A at Coldbrook Road to the east side of Bridge Street in Phoenicia.  Residents living on Coldbrook Road have recently raised valid concerns regarding traffic, parking, sanitation, and environmental impact.

Since this is somewhat new to the Town of Olive the following links are being provided in an effort to educate all of us about this project.
