DEP Presentation on Rehabilitation of Aqueduct Feb. 13th

Representatives from the NYC DEP will be present at the February 13th 7 p.m. Town Board meeting to provide information on the Repair and Rehabilitation of the Catskill Aqueduct.  This project, referred to as CAT-RR, will address repair issues specific to the Catskill Aqueduct between the Ashokan and the Kensico Reservoirs.  Repairs and rehabilitation will be confined to 64 miles of the 74 mile aqueduct.  Concrete repairs will be internal to the aqueduct, air vents will be installed, replacement of mechanical items such as valves, gates will occur, and removal of biofilm and surface attachments on the interior wall surface will be done.  All are encouraged to attend this informational meeting presentation.
